Sneak peek - Marc and Sammie - Parley Manor Wedding photography in Bournemouth, Dorset
Wowsers! What a fabulous day it was in Bournemouth, Dorset today!
The day after the Royal wedding and there was a no-less important wedding to attend today in Bournemouth. The one of Sammie and Marc, we started off with Sammie and then onto the Church, and finally to the beautiful Parley Manor. It is from there that the sneak peek was taken.
So have a GREAT honeymoon guys and I'll see you when you get back!

Engagement shoot in another top secret new forest location - sneak peek.
Today I caught up with Ben and Hannah who's wedding I'm photographing later this year (who also have a hogroast :) :) :) - i like this :) )
We met up at a secret location in the new forest where we had some fun with rope swings, horses, trees, bits of wood, logs, roads and finally a bridge and a camper van.
There is a bit of a story here - Ben and Hannah have a camper van booked for their wedding (hope that wasn't a secret!). and there was a bridge at this secret location. So we went to the bridge and i wanted a nice shot of a car going past them. So we took a couple (including an old transit as it passed). Then as we'd packed up and were walking back up the road Hannah saw a VW camper van coming towards us. So we sprinted back to the bridge, whilst i ran down the bank and threw my bags/cameras on the floor and setup position by the tree waiting for the camper van to pass.
Here is the result!

The Sneak peek today is an epic photograph with a blossom tree and a fast setting sun!
Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Turner!

London Wedding photography - second shooting
Here's a wedding from the archives that I've not posted from before.
The wedding was up at Chelsea Registry office and i was second shooting with the Legendary Tim Churchill.
So anyway - we started at Chelsea Registry office.

Their wedding was quite relaxed, in fact they saw each other before the ceremony.

and walked in together to the (very small) registry office.

and here's Tim at work getting them on the way out (and not getting run over by the bus)

and here's some feet, i do like feet and shoes, but, I think most people just assume i have a shoe fetish - phew! :)

and here is Irina showing off her ring

and the both of them getting on the red routemaster bus that then took them to the various locations round london before taking them to the reception

and here we are being given tickets
and a first(ish) kiss at the london eye

and this is one i really forgot about - we managed to blag our way into some office with a F1 car in it

and the big tower of cupcakes... nomnomnom

and of course the bride and groom decorations on the table

getting a lovely glass of champagne ready

with some great flowers on display

and some real thought had gone into the decoration of the restaurant (we were both soooooooo stuffed after the meal here it was like about 100000 courses)

There was even a belly dancer with a sense of humour - draping her hair over the bald fella here
Then it was onto some heartfelt speeches..
and some equally great reactions
of course you have to capture the rings with all the symbolism that entails

And this sums up the fun of the day with Irina and Lorenzo both having some fun together (your wedding is meant to be fun)

and also be fun for your guests at your wedding
I loove this one of the wedding couple, they had literally just stepped aside for a bit of a snuggle and i got this

the first dance is always fun and you can see here what it meant to lorenzo

and finally a fun one of irina to finish us off so to speak
and finally (i have to say it)... from russia with love!
Thanks for being so awesome and thanks to tim for having me along - legend as always.
Brighton Nightlife
I was in brighton for a vintage shoot the other week, and as I know the most excellent Kirsty Blake from Event exposures (who's also organising the brighton photofest
In order to pass the time it seemed like a sensible plan to stay out at a nightclub taking some photos until 4am (and deafen myself in the process)
So here was me when i started out

Here's a real tiger (who likes beer)

and didn't you know it was rude to stick your tongue out?

and some hula-hooping for fun!

and friends on a night out in brighton

So there we have it. Some awesome dorset wedding photographer action in Brighton! Party on!
Virginia Waters Wedding Photography Shootswap
Last weekend saw a big meetup of like minded photographers who like to spend time rolling in leaves, having their photograph taken and shouting 'me! me! me!'. But enough of me! :)
Seriously though - this was a great event organised by Juliet McKee of Sugar and Spice photography where 30+ photographers (not all from the wedding industry) got the chance to meet up and put each other at ease (like we do when we're photographing a real client - i.e. you!)
So we met up at some ridiculous time (10:30am) and split into several smaller groups. Despite what people often think of a male dominated industry there were mainly women at this shootswap, so I guess times are a changing when it comes to wedding photography and now it's just as likely (if not morw) that your wedding photographer will be wearing a skirt and not a suit!
Anyways - here's a few of my favourites from the day....
Here's juliet who organised it all...

and here's libby - with the luscious green grass behind!

and here's the shooting gallery! I love these behind the scenes images!

and nothing to do with photographers, but a nice swan
and some lovely laughter captured with aplomb

and a fellow (haha) photographer laying in the leaves

and another wedding photographer lined up against the wall (no revolution needed)

and finally here's one of me hanging around during the session :)
- thanks to Suzanne Kentish for this last one!
What an awesome day and thanks again to Juliet for sorting this out!
Jools and Heather - Wedding Photography at Cressbrook Hall - Sneak peek
Today saw me make the trip back to my roots to photograph the wedding of Jools and Heather. I first spoke to Jools quite some time ago via Twitter, so it was an honour when he asked if I could photograph his forthcoming wedding up in the very picturesque Cressbrook Hall.
So the day arrived and it was all set to be another awesome wedding photography adventure, with rolling countryside and breathtaking vista's.
And what a great day it was! I was made to feel very welcome and was given a delicous meal ending with an scrumptios pudding that i wolfed down in about 2 bites!
Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Turrall! I'll speak to you both soon and thanks for making the wedding photography such fun! (Just as it should be I hasten to add!)
And as a reward for reading this far (and not falling off the precipice) - then here is a sneak peek from todays wedding photography (not in dorset this time).
New Sample Wedding Albums
My new wedding photography albums arrived, these are from a fantastic UK based supplier so I don't have to worry about my carbon footprint being through the roof and I get to support UK companies which is great!
Here are some images
the album itself!

upon opening the box you're presented with a lovely sight of the album being nicely wrapped inside the box

here we have the album on top of the leather and velvet lined box

and a closeup of the spine and pages, these really are super thick and much more long lasting

and the wedding album from above, you can see the back leather.

Bournemouth Engagement photography at the beach and on a massive slide!
I met up with Kirk and Sally this last weekend to do an engagement shoot. I knew from the moment I met them both that they'd be up for a laugh and true to form we ended up getting a go on the big slide that was by bournemouth beach this weekend.
I'd have loved to get on their but obviously health and safety dictated i couldn't ;-) (honest).
So here's one of Kirk and Sally stumbling off the slide... can't wait for the wedding!

A Parley Manor Wedding
I've been remiss in my blogging the latter half of last year, so firstly apologies. And here's a wedding that I photographed way back last year at Parley Manor, near Bournemouth Airport.
The day started off with surprise Ferrari's that the Groom hadn't known about!
And the brides bouquet was awesome!

and Vicky had a quiet moment before the chaos ensued
and a very proud dad giving away his daughter

meanwhile at parley manor proper Kayhan and his male escorts were waiting nervously

and there was of course cupcakes

and Vicky was waiting by the car as she was unfashionably early!

and having some fun before the ceremony
finally the emotion is all too much.

and the kiss that seals the deal

then it's off for some fun with Kayhan and Vicky

and a timeless classic pose in black and white.

and Kayhan and Vicky just enjoying being married after the build up to the wedding.

and then it was time to relax on the bouncy castle. This is the first wedding I've photographed where the bride and groom have got in on the action

What an awesome dorset wedding!
